Stemming from the desire of weaving together human development and exceptional products, social commitment is at the heart of the fashion house’s philosophy. De Gris calls on the know-how of both Haitian and French artisans, and pays particular attention to some raised ethical questions.
Through a virtuous economic model and working with the non-profit organization Haïti Futur, De Gris commits itself actively to the social and economic development of the Haitian artisans.
Built on the basis of fair-trade, our economic model allows the artisans to participate in the value chain, following equity, solidarity and sustainable development standards.
Equity.
Benefit the artisans with a fair share of the gains, through a just payment system, established by experts according to local standards. Establish pay modes and production deadlines adapted to the local artisans.

Respecting the environment.
Proscribe any negative impact on the environment during the entire production process, and actively contribute to the recovery of the local ecological balance.
Transparency.
Ensure transparency of information with partner artisans and guarantee the channels’ traceability.
Sensitisation.
Sensitise the consumers on the social and environmental quality improvement of the products and services.
